TOOLS/MEDIUM: Rough pencil sketch
COMMENTS: The date of this sketch is unknown but probably precedes the first appearance of ARPA-01. Generally when I create characters for SL for their first appearance I don’t think about making their appearance distinctive enough so that they will be recognizable in subsequent strips. Therefore I don’t give enough attention to character design. ARPA is a rare exception. This is a sketch I did before introducing the character because I really didn’t want her to look like any of my generic characters. The design is kind of a cross between Chobits and Rei Ayanami. I actually thought of the acronym for ARPA, which has yet to appear in a strip.
