Although Classics have their value, the new, larger artwork and the result of 1.75 decades of drawing are just making the shoe series that much more fun to read through!
Does Dad still have all the recording gear set up (even though it’s to tape?) or does he need a visit to the local Panasonic/Sony outlet?? (Feel free to hide this one if you like that idea!)
shoe? That was supposed to be WHOLE! Please edit it (or kill the whole thing!) but think about that “revisit” to update the entire system to HD webcams! ;-D
The recording gear was actually to set up a plot point that never happened. Mrs. Shibata was supposed to be charged with the murder of Natuski and the recording gear was going to be evidence. But after Natsuki died I kind of had enough of the whole storyline.
Really? Now that’s interesting. I always though that even if Mrs. Shibata found those tapes, their use was obvious and since her husband was cool about letting her have her fun with a girl/girl affair, she was cool with his side wanking while watching the results. She certainly never hesitated to take nude pictures of herself, after all.
claysays
He was, it was just that during the police investigation into her death revealed the recording equipment, and after viewing the tape, there was cause to believe that Mrs. Shibata’s negligence led to Natsuki’s death. It all sounds really serious as I talk about the plot, but of course it was all about the jokes. Mrs. Shibata is found not guilty, because all of the jury hopes that she will do a sequel.
Limeysays
A sequel!? Dear god man that’s amazing. Serial killer sexy milf strikes again! News at six, on pay-per-view at eleven.

Oh, sure. Even when you went quiet for so long, I’d check in and enjoy a re-read of the older strips. They were always worth a laugh.
I’ll tell you something I told another adult comic artist, when a similar subject came up: I know I have a winner when the strip in question has that little bit extra, that spark, that just makes everything *click*. When it makes me feel genuine emotion-even ones I don’t agree with, be it anger, sadness, confusion; it can run the gamut-I know I have a winner. The Sexy Losers strips absolutely fit the bill on this. They contain that spark of life that just drawing tits on a page for a laugh can’t do.
I’ve seen enough adult comics by now in life to realize that is the case for me…other artists might try similar jokes and they just can’t pull it off.
My opinions tend to extend to all forms of media. When they make me feel something genuine, even if I don’t agree with it, then it’s absolutely worth my time and attention to keep checking back for more.
Thanks for the kind words. I don’t know about that spark, but I know I do approach it as if I’m not making an adult comic but a parody of an adult comic. This is most apparent with Chie, the porn star who is never drawn nude nor actually having physical contact with anyone. When there is nudity and sex in the comic I try to ensure it is never satisfying or erotic. I can’t imagine anyone getting turned on by this comic. And this is what I hope this comic is — a porn comic that is just too absurd to be wankable.
All I can tell you for sure is that it has the right stuff. It’s so absurd, and a few strips initially weirded me out a lot, that is why I fell in love with it-it generated real emotion by pulling me out of my comfort zone and holds it there with a lot of laughter-not to mention appreciation at your ability to pull off a joke. (Needless to say, I am a girl who was really sheltered growing up, and shaking that off sometimes gets a bit awkward. Your comic was an early, *much* needed pull! Probably another reason I love it.)
The “spark” for any medium varies with me. With some, I genuinely have to care about the characters. With others, their ability to both infuriate me and open my eyes to new points of view is the way to go. I hope to never be trapped by my own point of view to the point I cannot consider others out there. There are good strips and other medium forms that fit the bill in these areas.
I can’t wait to see how awkward this whole thing with Mrs. Shibata and her son gets.
claysays
Thank you for your kind words. I think when we’re young we’re taught that sex is dangerous, naughty, the less you know the better, etc. and it’s hard to get alternate ideas like “it’s natural and probably not as life-shattering as you think it is.” I think that our views of sex are really what’s absurd, so it’s what I try to put into the comics.
That’s a really good way to think about things, to keep eyes open to new viewpoints. It’s something we need more and more nowadays as the voices telling us how we should think and feel get stronger. Media should be more about challenging ourselves and the way we think rather than appealing to it and taking away our ability to have rational thought.

I’ve been reading your stuff since I was a younger adult, it’s the right balance of humor and awkwardness for my particular….awkwardness. I’ve been sent other “similar humor” sites and I don’t think people get “it” like your comics do. You’re like the John Oliver of comics.
I’ve read your strips since the beginning. You have a better sense of humor than most of the webcomics I read & you do sex. The sad part is, when you rebooted the first thing I did was tell my wife and she was delighted too. Gotta love a woman who is just as twisted as you are 🙂
thanks for all the hard work! I just discovered this site yesterday and I’ve been reading it all day!
I bet that in the site stats there are thousands of visitors, almost nobody stop and post a thanks comment.
Finding out that you’re still going has just made my night.
Nobody (except perhaps Jimmy Carr) is putting out material with this kind of humour in it, so I can’t tell you how glad I am to see that you’re still here. Your artwork has gone off the hook in the latest strips too, so that’s also really cool…
Didn’t you say somewhere (probably more than one somewheres) that no character will ever break out of their particular fixation? (At least not on purpose….) I’ve certainly never looked for it. I even considered once who might have the most to lose if they did.
Mike comes to mind. Suppose he ever actually did have sex with a person (closest I’ve seen him do is getting a hand job from a girl when he broke his own left hand…doesn’t mind letting his sister’s hand “take over for a minute” though…). He’s someone where reality just might be the knife that ruins the fantasy in his head (and hand). Would that ruin him utterly?
This strip used to be called the Thin H Line and what it was supposed to be about was sexual boundaries. Like, with a rule in mind, how far could you take something before it breaks that rule? Almost all the characters fit that pattern — how far can Touro get with Madame X without actually having sex, how far can Mike and Michelle go together without it being incestual, how ludicrous does insemination have to be for the extremely fertile woman to get pregnant again, and so on. That’s why the rules aren’t to be broken, because the humour for me lies in how close they can come (no pun intended) to breaking that rule yet still keep the rule intact.
The Mike case is interesting because it begs the question about the role intent plays in sex, and often I use the comic to show that in many cases, intent is more important than the actual act. When Mike gets a hand job, his intent is to masturbate, and he is fantasizing about his own hand during it, so he remains true to the intent over the act. Same with his interactions with Michelle — Michelle has “taken over” so that Mike can maintain his erection while talking on the phone, she has also used a dildo made from a cast of Mike’s penis, and she has unintentionally swallowed his semen, but to both of them the interaction is not a sexual one, but an assist for their own pleasures. That’s what was really fun about doing this strip was seeing how far I could go and them still being true to themselves. With this series too, we’ll see how intention plays an important role when things certainly don’t seem so innocent.
I see! That adds more dimension to what I wondered about Shiunji, He had sex by accident with a living person, and it didn’t ruin him. He kept true to the spirit of his rule. 😉
claysays
Yeah, they have to be tricked into breaking their rule, but in their mind they were tricked so it doesn’t count. They are more faithful in what they believe than in what they are actually doing, especially when what they are actually doing seems on appearances to be against what they believe. Mike has had two women stroke him so it seems he likes handjobs but to him it’s just a different hand doing the masturbating.
