When I was doing research at University, there was one guy in the department who was notorious for asking the undergraduates who were helping him out on dates. A girl I dated got into graduate school through her flirting with people who mattered, bypassing regular channels. Lots of stories like this.
I do believe that in some departments, a kind of sexual harassment takes place. It’s been a while since I’ve worked in that environment, but I remember that it was well known that flirting with specific male teachers had rewards. Being a guy, this really embittered me.
I don’t know where I’m going with this because I’m digging up old memories. I originally had it planned where she says “I get extra credit for this!” in the first panel, before giving the blow job. But it was already too text-heavy and I let it go, though I still kind of wish I left it in.
