I always get requests for certain fetishes and there are real stumbling blocks to this. The joke can never be about the fetish itself, there has to be something particularly humourous about the fetish that not only the people into that find it funny, but people who are NOT into it find it funny as well. It’s a hard act. Add to the fact that I gotta draw it, another stumbling block becomes, can I draw it well enough to be recognizable? Animals I am just terrible at. I don’t know how to draw them. I will admit that right now. So that’s why there are very few strips with animals. Bondage is also difficult, but I have a small library of pictures I can use now for reference.
This strip was inspired by a Japanese comic by the name of “Inu” (Dog) about this one girl who believes her first lover was a dog who she inticed into licking her vagina through the use of peanut butter. When the dog dies, she is devistated, but she finds a poor schmuck who takes the dog’s place, and in the end is treated as badly as a dog. Weird comic. But anyways, that’s where the peanut butter idea comes from.
A few notes on the comic itself: This strip began the convention of The Very Thick Black Panel to show that something is happening in the past. I’ve used this a few times since. The second panel has a rare dynamic angle which I have no excuse for not using more. The final text balloon in the last panel was placed badly. Yes, I use these commentaries to pick on my own faults, so a lot of what you read here will be my mistakes.
This strip doesn’t have a strong punchline. It’s one of those strips I begrudgingly do because I don’t have a strong punchline, just a couple of mildly witty responses. Anyone who complains that the first two volumes are the funniest should look at strips like these where I’m very obviously going through the motions.

To me the punchline isn’t the line, it’s the nonchalance with which it is delivered. I think it’s a great comic.
