One of my favorite set-ups, The Conversation With Two Meanings, as perfected by the sit-com Three’s Company. They’re not as easy to do as it seems. I spent a while perfecting the dialogue to get it just right.
I think I was emboldened by #35, in which I duplicated a panel, and no one said anything. No one called me a cheater, or anything. The reason why, I guess was that half the online comic community was doing it, and everyone was pretty used to it by then. So emboldened by that, I used the same panel THREE TIMES in the same strip. I wish someone had called me on my laziness before I did the completely shameless #84 or #102.
I recall getting a lot of good response on this strip, which was something I needed due to the silence I received about #38. This is really the point where the Mike thread really took off on it’s own, and I called the thread Mike’s Left Hand, after the Daniel Day-Lewis film “My Left Foot”.

If you’re going to make a joke response on this strip, it should at least have something to do with masturbating.

So I’ve read this strip many times and, just noticed a spelling error possibly “if we hurry add bring sugar”

It was brought to my attention way back when the strip was made but at the time I was drawing all the strips on paper and I didn’t have a drawing tablet so making changes was really a pain in the ass. There are a number of errors in early strips I just left in there because I didn’t want the hassle of rescanning something and editing it in.

Lol, wow, I’ve missed so many then. Love your work so much I skip errors usually then.
