However, for the THIN H LINE, I thought it would be interesting to revisit some old experiences as I had done for AHMOG, using the Jon and Al characters from that series. I thought it would be a great tie in, and it would give me opportunities to examine the sexual side of the pains I went through.
One of the pains I went through was that what people thought of my girlfriend meant a lot more to me than it should have. If one of my friends didn’t like her, or thought she wasn’t attractive enough, I was absolutely crushed. Obviously, this is not a good thing. Neither was having friends who would tell you your girlfriend was ugly, but that’s another point. (On the other hand, a friend once told me in confidence that he’d love to fuck my girlfriend. I can tell you that didn’t quite feel like the compliment it could have been).
On the other hand, I have been in the very unlucky position to tell someone their woman WAS having sex with other people. I’ll get into that story the next commentary.
Another pain is Previous History. The subject is covered in great detail in the Chasing Amy film, which I advise anyone to watch it several times as I have. Basically you don’t want to know about your girlfriend/boyfriend’s sexual history. You don’t talk about it, you don’t try to find out about it, you just leave it alone. Don’t play the numbers game. If you really need to know how many partners your GF/BF has had, then you are insecure and you need to figure out for yourself why.
Nonetheless, there are times that definitely make you go Hmmmmm. Like when your partner goes down on you for the first time and it’s obvious it’s not their first time. Some things just ain’t natural talent, you know.
The problem is not many people want their partner to be known for their vast sexual history. A lot of guys especially all want their GFs to be sex-hungry virgins before they met, and the odds against that happening are pretty low. What guys should understand is that what matters most is who your GF is having sex with NOW. Guys shouldn’t be worried about how they measure up to the men in her past — she’s having sex with you NOW, so don’t be so fucked up over something you can’t do anything about anyways.
In the end, it’s all a matter of confidence in yourself. Do yourself a favour before you begin dating, my friends, and gain some confidence in yourself. You’ll save yourself (and others) a lot of mental anguish.
