Commentary from July 5, 2002
This strip is a case where I got three panels into the strip and I realized that my original punchline sucked. I can’t for the life of me remember what the original punchline was. I remember it being funny in my mind, but getting it down on paper… whoa. The saving grace of this one is that I like the art.
This is the first time the male member is represented in the strip. It took me a long time to actually start drawing it without being outlined, distorted or blocked by the Kikuni Shota angry black bar. The reason was not because I was to ashamed to draw it, the real reason was I was following Japanese conventions at the time.
