Commentary from July 7, 2002
The first panel contains one of the only uninked drawings in the series. I was starting to find myself detatched from the friends back home so I included some injokes in some of the strips. The injoke about Jen Chan’s loose tank tops was included in this strip. This is also the first appearance of Shiunji’s dad, who is my favorite character in Sexy Losers, period.
I like the third panel which tries to insinuate that Shiunji may have said all those creepy things as a crafty way to prevent her from committing suicide, and the last panel which removes all doubt.
This comic was posted when I was 7 years old. It took me 19 years to find it and develop a personality necessary to see the beauty in it.
This is a rare moment where the most unlikely things come together.
