Tang and I are longtime friends and it was only a matter of time before we’d have to do a crossover in THIN H LINE. The first of many crossovers, actually, not including Sunday Morning Coffee which was just one big crossover. The salmon sushi and Canada underwear thing was something that appeared earlier in his comic.

My friendship with Tang goes back to when I first started doing web comics. We became fast friends, and worked on a number of projects together, beyond counting. Tang was also an original inspiration for the comic. His Weekly Comic has been going on for over 5 years, which meant that weekly comics ARE viable. In IRC we had talked about doing a crossover comic, and the first panel is pretty much a word-for-word telling of our conversation. Of course, NO ONE should allow me to use their characters in the comic, and I produced the comic you see there.
When I was finished, I showed it to Tang in IRC. He didn’t reply for 5 minutes. It was a pretty long five minutes. Finally, he said, “I’ll be back.” and logged off. A few hours later, he produced this comic. I don’t know if Tang was ever truly pissed off at the comic, but the result was pretty damn funny. Man, do I ever look like a pirate.
