More jam comics from Anime North 1999. This time we have work bu John Murnaghan, Bryan O’Malley, L0cke, and Jennifer Chan. When we picked up L0cke before the event, he was wearing a rugby helmet. I still have no idea why and I’m sure it crossed everyone’s mind at the time. When we went out to eat, he doodled on all the table napkins, and they were all spectacular. It was kind of a lesson, if you really like drawing, you draw it no matter what you have available at the time.
Man, do I ever miss those guys.

Back to Anime North ‘99. I can’t describe in words what a blast it was. In one way it was difficult for me, because I knew I was leaving the country soon and leaving all these people behind. But knowing that just made me want to have as much fun as possible. Part of the fun was doing these two strips (this one and #12). John demanded to draw the first panel being as it had the swearing friend in it. L0cke asked me how much detail I wanted in his panel, and the guy went to town. He said he was trying to drive me crazy when it came time for me to ink it. Great stuff, and it was a great collaboration. I miss all these guys.
