005 “Pride of Indiana”

In #002 I talked about a kid’s love of Star Wars but I was also a HUGE fan of Indiana Jones. The fact there is no DVD of “Raiders of the Lost Ark” leaves a big hole in my life. That was just a fantastic film. As a kid I’d run around the forests with a fedora hat thinking I was Indy and have wonderful adventures in my head. I did a few Indiana Jones comics in the sixth grade (which I don’t dare show), so it was a blast to do this strip. A number of the parodies in the THIN H LINE/Sexy Losers are from movies that had an impact on me when I was a kid… Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Blade Runner. I’d love to do a Space: 1999 parody but I don’t think most of the audience would get it. (UPDATE: The DVD did come out and I did end up doing the Space: 1999 parody anyways.)
